I'm writing you out of pure concern and frustration. Recently, withing
the last few days I had oral sex with a young lady. We only had oral
sex. A few days after the oral act took place..she told me that she does
have herpes. She said she got it when she was around 12 years old. She
is now 26 and I'm 27. Of course I was upset with her for not telling
me that before hand. She told me that in her last relationship her
partner never got herpes and the entire time she has had it..she has never
passed it to anyone.
My question is...how at risk am I? she says that she is sure that she
didn't pass it to me because she wasn't having an outbreak and haven't
had an outbreak in a long time. I get tested on a regular basis and
I've never had an STD or anything in the past. I'm natrually concerned. I
want to know is there anything I can do, other than wait for six weeks
and get tested. And how likely is it that from one oral sex act I did
or didnt contract herpes? Thanks.
